But what exactly is it?

Caronositol® is a proprietary, plant-derived source of D-chiro-inositol made from carob. Its story begins with the pods of the carob tree, Ceratonia siliqua, which naturally contain a compound called D-pinitol.

Through a controlled manufacturing process, carob-derived D-pinitol is converted into D-chiro-inositol, creating the ingredient known as Caronositol.

What Is D-Chiro-Inositol?

Both occur naturally in the body and are involved in cellular signalling and metabolic processes, but they are not identical. The body can also convert some myo-inositol into D-chiro-inositol.
